2008 Law Enforcement Torch Run

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest grassroots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle for Special Olympics and has raised more than $125 million for Special Olympics since its inception. More than 85,000 law enforcement officers around the world carried the "Flame of Hope" across 35 nations, raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics.

 

In May 2008, many Flathead  law enforcement officers, first responders and dispatchers participated locally to carry the torch nearly 60 miles through the county.
